This sequel offers a very similar approach to the gameplay. But don't sleep on Yakuza – that's definitely a warning you should heed.īe sure to keep an eye out for Yakuza Kiwami 2 when it debuts on July 30. Yakuza 2 is the official sequel to the action game released in 2006. If you're ready to jump into the game series, you should absolutely try Yakuza Kiwami first, then move on to this one. You can also play as Goro Majima, the Mad Dog of Shimano, and trust me on that when I say it's a real treat. This sequel is a total remake of Yakuza 2 in the Dragon Engine, and it's chock-full of mini games, satisfying combat, and a heartrending story that'll make you fall for Kiryu in seconds flat. He's back on the yakuza beat, so to speak, and this time he finds himself in the middle of war between two of the biggest yakuza organizations in Japan. The game follows series mainstay Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Kojima himself, one year after the events of the original Yakuza: Kiwami. Now, Xbox One and Windows 10 players can get their hands on it. It'll also be heading to Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC users, Sega announced.įor those unfamiliar with the Yakuza series, this is a remake of Yakuza 2, and it first debuted back on PlayStation 4 in 2018 for western players. other than that I can't really say much for the story as this is the first Yakuza game I've tried.Yakuza Kiwami 2 is smashing its way to Xbox One and Windows 10 this month. imagine the blocking and dodging issues I had with the boss, but 5 times worse, at least the grunts don't have as much heath. One more thing before the fans of this game murder me, the fights with multiple enemies also ****. for one the blocking was unreliable due to the lack of a lock on, the dodging couldn't get me far away enough to evade most of his attacks, and you can't cancel attacks by blocking or dodging so half of your attacks would get ignored and he'd kick your ass. The combat in this game is laughably bad, the dodge goes nowhere and there isn't a lock on, I beat the first fight with the main bad guy and that's when I began to realize just how bad the combat system ****. Dive into the world of Yakuza and you'll know the richness of this series. For gameplay, it's pretty good but don't expect a flashy kind of action game. Its just an item that you can sell for 10k, not worth much but it might have sentimental value to die-hard fans I guess. :-P rofl, then what is the point XD Valkenhyne posted. Just buy and play this game but just remember that RGG is known for their story and they are the best at it. Just read up that Harukas Marble also exists in Yakuza 2 (save data from Yakuza 1) and does absolutely nothing. Celebrate Kazuma Kiryus saga with the beautifully remastered Yakuza 3, 4, and 5. Here are the Yakuza Kiwami 2 System Requirements (Minimum) CPU: Intel Core i5-3470, 3.2 GHz / AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 3.1 GHz CPU SPEED: Info RAM: 4 GB VIDEO CARD. The only game that does this besides Yakuza Series is only RDR2 in my opinion. Use of Alcohol, Blood, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Intense Violence, Partial Nudity. There's no single character that feels like a filler. Every single characters (not NPC) in the game has a specific value on them. Most game feels like a chore or not engaging at all but with Yakuza, you are voluntarily doing it.Īnother thing that probably most gamer didn't notice is the perfection of the writer to make that dozen of characters in the game alive. Remake of Yakuza 2, released on PS4 in December 2017 and ported to PC by QLOC in May 2019 was met with overwhelmingly positive reception and is the first Yakuza game running on a new Dragon Engine which was ported to PC. Yakuza is the only game that able to make me curious, hook and interested in their side gameplay or activities. Along side some (or probably all) quirky and weird side quests that truly becoming the charm of the Yakuza series.Īnd once again, I had invested my time more on the cabaret and Majima Construction rather than progressing through the story. RGG never fails to deliver a meaningful and engaging story from start to end.
